Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MDI ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
MDI provides AI-powered mock interview sessions designed by industry experts. Candidates purchase and complete interview sessions, receiving automated feedback and scoring.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.
4. Payments & Refunds
All payments are processed through Stripe. Session fees are non-refundable once an interview session has been started. Refund requests for unstarted sessions must be submitted within 7 days of purchase.
5. Pricing, Fees & Revenue Share
The following terms govern how session prices are set and how revenue is split between Creators and the Platform. By submitting a schema or accepting payouts, you agree that the Platform retains the discretion described below.
- Price range. The Platform sets a minimum and maximum permitted session price. The current range is USD $19 to USD $100 per session. The Platform may adjust this range at any time. Existing schemas priced outside a new range will be capped or floored to the new bounds automatically; Creators may then re-price within the updated range.
- Default revenue share. Unless otherwise agreed in writing or set on your Creator profile, the default split is 60% to the Creator and 40% to the Platform, calculated on the gross session price before payment-processor fees and taxes.
- Promotional & founding-expert rates. The Platform may, in its sole discretion, grant individual Creators a more favorable revenue share (for example, a founding-expert promotional rate of up to 75%) for a defined or open-ended period. The Platform may end or modify any promotional rate with thirty (30) days' written notice via the email on file.
- Platform authority to change the share. The Platform may change the default revenue share, any individual Creator's specific share, the basis of calculation, or any related fee at any time. Material reductions to a Creator's share will take effect no sooner than thirty (30) days after notice. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the change. Creators who do not accept the change may withdraw their schemas and close their account before the effective date.
- Bookings already in flight. Any payment that has already been authorized or captured for a candidate session is honored at the revenue share in effect at the time of booking. Future bookings use the then-current rate.
- Processing fees and taxes. Stripe processing fees, currency conversion fees, chargeback fees, refunds, and any applicable sales, use, value-added, or withholding taxes are deducted before the revenue share is calculated, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
- No guarantee of volume or earnings. Nothing in these terms creates any guarantee of session volume, earnings, placement, ranking, or visibility for any Creator or schema.
6. Expert Content
Interview schemas are created by independent experts. MDI reviews schemas for quality but does not guarantee specific outcomes or employment results.
7. Expert Representations & Warranties
If you register as an interview expert (a "Creator"), you represent and warrant to MDI that:
- All information you provide about your identity, employment history, job titles, tenure, companies, educational background, certifications, and professional experience is accurate, current, and truthful.
- Any LinkedIn, GitHub, or other social or professional profiles you link to the Platform are your own, are under your control, and accurately reflect your background.
- You have the legal right to share the interview content, methodologies, questions, and rubrics you submit, and doing so does not violate any confidentiality agreement, non-disclosure agreement, employer policy, trade secret obligation, or intellectual property right of any third party.
- You are not currently subject to any employer restriction, regulatory order, or contractual obligation that would prohibit you from creating content on the Platform or receiving payouts for doing so.
- You will promptly update your profile if any of the information you previously submitted becomes inaccurate.
8. Verification & Platform Review
MDI conducts a limited review of Creator profiles based on publicly available information (such as LinkedIn and GitHub) and the statements Creators make to the Platform. MDI does not independently verify employment with HR departments, contact past or current employers, obtain background checks, or authenticate every factual claim. A "verified" status on the Platform indicates only that MDI has performed this limited review and has not found an obvious discrepancy — it is not a guarantee, endorsement, or certification of the Creator's background. Candidates and other users should not rely on "verified" status as proof of any specific fact about a Creator.
9. Consequences of Misrepresentation
If MDI determines, in its sole discretion, that a Creator has provided false, misleading, fabricated, or materially inaccurate information — including but not limited to misstating employment, titles, tenure, companies, or credentials — MDI may, without prior notice:
- Remove or suspend any or all of the Creator's interview schemas;
- Revoke verification status and remove the Creator's profile from the Platform;
- Terminate the Creator's account and forfeit any unpaid earnings;
- Issue refunds to affected candidates and deduct those refunds from amounts otherwise owed to the Creator;
- Pursue any legal remedies available, including claims for damages, fraud, or misrepresentation.
10. Creator Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MDI, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) any breach of the representations and warranties in Section 7; (b) any inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information you provide to the Platform or to any candidate; (c) any content you submit that infringes the intellectual property, confidentiality, or privacy rights of a third party; or (d) any claim by a current or former employer, regulator, or other party based on your activities on the Platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
MDI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including any damages resulting from reliance on information submitted by a Creator.
12. Contact
